About Department
Vidarbha being industrially backward region , Diploma in Chemincal Engg. was started in the Institute in 1996 with intake of 40 students. Big industries like Reymonds Ltd. , Balaji Electrode, Ganaraj Fertilizers are emerging up at Yavatmal having potential to employ the young diploma Engineers . Viewing the tremendous potential of the course the intake capacity was raised to 60 from the year 2006-07. Course provides the ample scope for youngsters to set up their own ventures. New building admeasuring 1500 Sq.M. (Two Stored) is under construction compromising of various laboratories such as Mass Transfer Lab , Heat Transfer Lab, Instrumentation & process Control Lab, Fluid Flow operation Lab, Industrial Chemistry Lab, Mechanical operation lab & Process simulation lab. .
